Corpus Christi Hooks starter Greg Gilman was in fine form against the Midland RockHounds at Whataburger Field, leading his team to a win, 6-3. Jorge Castro closed the game out for Corpus Christi, earning his 5th save. The Hooks, now 17-6, have been sizzling early on.

Jared Macahilig hit a bases-clearing double off Rogelio Pineda in the bottom of the third, which put the Hooks in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Macahilig had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
