Despite a fine performance by center fielder Jake Meyers, the Houston Astros lost to the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-8, in 10 innings. Meyers was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Toronto reliever Mason Fluharty snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Caleb Ferguson shouldered the loss. Nick Robertson closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Toronto used the clutch hitting of Nathan Lukes to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Blue Jays the lead, 9-7. For the game, Lukes had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
