Giants Stumble, Lose to Dodgers
|
Los Angeles Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty led his team to victory over the San Francisco Giants, 8-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Blake Treinen closed out the game, earning his 1st save. The win leaves Los Angeles with a record of 6-1.
Shohei Ohtani had a big 3-run home run for the Dodgers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Dodgers on top, 5-0.
"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said San Francisco skipper Bob Melvin.
