Blue Sox Need Extra Innings to Top Giants, 2-1
The San Jose Giants wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Jon Sinclair, falling 2-1 to the Tulsa Blue Sox at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The winner was Tulsa reliever Steve Laffin, now 5-0. The loser was Josh Rivera. The last-place Giants have lost 8 straight games.

Tulsa used a timely hit from C.J. King to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Sox ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
