Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hillcats
The Lynchburg Hillcats topped the Wilmington Blue Rocks by a score of 6-3. Leading the way was first baseman Dave Kramer. Kramer was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hillcats. Alfredo Vital earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-1. Steve Magee recorded the save for Lynchburg, his 7th of the season.

Juan Rivero drove in one run for Lynchburg. In a tie game with one out in the top of the eighth, Rivero came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Hillcats in front, 4-3.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Kramer.

Lynchburg is 28-51 and Wilmington, with the loss, 55-24.
