The Potomac Nationals topped the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 8-3, the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Jamie Schroeder. On the day, Schroeder slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Nationals. Potomac has now won 4 games in a row.

Schroeder had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the eighth when the 22-year old left fielder hit a 3-run home run. The home run gave Potomac the lead, 8-3. It was his 4th home run of the season.

"I like the roll we're on," said Potomac manager Skip Schumaker.
