Fayetteville right-hander Tavion Hollenquest pitched his team to victory over the Down East Wood Ducks at Fayetteville Ballpark. The final score was 5-3. Josh Sadler got credit for the save for Fayetteville. It was his 20th of the year. The second-place Woodpeckers have won 8 straight.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Woodpeckers grabbed the lead when Ted Bright rapped a two-out home run. Fayetteville was trailing 2-1, when Bright hit a grand slam home run off Mike Gordon to put his team in front, 5-2.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Bright.
