Lynchburg left fielder Jonathan Minter had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 9-4. Caleb Roberts snagged the win in relief. In 3.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 2-2 on the season. Today's win puts Lynchburg at 48-85, while Myrtle Beach falls to 51-82.

Minter contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Lynchburg in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-3, Minter took a changeup from Jorge Moreno and stroked the double to right-center. His 26th double of the season allowed the Hillcats to leap in front, 5-4.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Lynchburg manager Wes Parsons.
