Tarpons Get 4-2 Win Versus Dunedin
|
The Tampa Tarpons dealt the Dunedin Blue Jays a 4-2 loss at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Ed Francis was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Rogelio Serrato was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 23 of 25 save opportunities. Tampa now sits in third place in the FSL North at 39-50.
Francis contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Tampa in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Francis took a fastball from Sergio Castaneda and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Tarpons to leap in front, 3-1.
Francis called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
