The Charlotte Stone Crabs picked up a win at Charlotte Sports Park, knocking off the Daytona Tortugas, 9-1. On the mound for Charlotte was right-hander Murdock Arthurs, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Charlotte upped its record to 79-55.

The Stone Crabs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Sean Rettig. For the game, Rettig was 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Charlotte a 1-0 lead.

"Murdock made his pitches," said Charlotte manager Craig Breslow.
