The Great Lakes Loons beat the Clinton LumberKings, 2-1. Great Lakes pitcher and Parma, Ohio, native Chris Neal led the way. Neal picked up the win for Great Lakes, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.

Steve Muscarella, the 24-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Muscarella contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Great Lakes up, 2-0.
