White Sox Claim Late Win
|
Minnesota wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Seth Lugo, falling to the Chicago White Sox, 5-3. Lugo threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Davis Martin, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 6.2 innings. The White Sox, with just their 6th win in 25 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Bryan Ramos came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The first baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We were the better team," crowed Ramos.
