Loons Need Extra Innings to Top Kernels, 11-8
Despite a great performance by Cedar Rapids center fielder Andy White, the Great Lakes Loons defeated the Kernels by the score of 11-8 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. White slugged 3 home runs. He scored 5 runs and drove in 4. Dusty Foster nailed down his 2nd save. Cedar Rapids's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Great Lakes got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Luis Camacho. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Loons ahead, 9-8. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Camacho told the Great Lakes Herald.
