Victory Over Cougars Takes Clinton to 73-38
Clinton LumberKings starter Joe Tate was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Kane County Cougars, 6-2. Tate got the win, improving to 8-6. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. Tate allowed 2 runs. Clinton, at 73-38, is 3½ games up in the Western Division.

Juan Garces had a big 2-run double for the LumberKings in the bottom of the third inning.
