In a low-scoring affair between the Fort Wayne TinCaps and the Lake County Captains, pitcher Erik Camarata was the difference between victory and defeat. The Fort Wayne left-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 TinCaps win. The current losing streak for Lake County has reached 5 games.
Luis Montalvo had a big solo home run for the TinCaps in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Fort Wayne leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Jadon Bloodsaw and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the TinCaps ahead, 2-0.
"Sometimes a win comes easy," Camarata told the Fort Wayne Times. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
