Superb Year for Parker, Wins Most Valuable Player Award

Sean Parker took MLB Junior College by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 20.

For his spectacular campaign, the Birmingham College Rogues star has been named the 2023 MLB Junior College Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.

On the season he compiled a .359 batting average to go with a .491 on-base percentage. The native of Girard, Pennsylvania also added 9 doubles, no triples, 29 home runs, 72 RBIs and 66 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dave Hill of the Chicago College Lone Stars finished second in voting, while Jorge Partida of the Birmingham College Rogues finished third.
