Chicago's Rivera Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, May 27th , 2041 26-year-old Juan Rivera sent shock waves through Major League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the National League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Rivera made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .588 average, 10 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 runs batted in.
