Hits Galore: Sinohui Drills 5 Hits Thursday, August 23rd , 2040 Phil Sinohui exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Raley Field. The Las Vegas first baseman had a field day in the 14-2 triumph over the Sacramento River Cats, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Sinohui must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Phil Sinohui struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Stone in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. So far this season Sinohui has hit .333 with 8 home runs, 42 RBIs and scored 49 times. View Boxscore |
