Gerling Spins Shutout Against Spikes Sunday, July 15th , 2040 Connecticut Tigers hurler Steve Gerling was at his best as he beat the State College Spikes, 3-0. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said State College manager Shane Costa. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
