Mariners Victorious at Los Angeles, 6-2
|
Seattle and Los Angeles got after it at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
Seattle beat Los Angeles on the strength of starting pitcher Josh Walton's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-2. The Mariners raised their record to 10-14.
Seattle took a 6-2 lead on Juan Martiniz's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Martiniz hit in the top of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Jamie Walker visibly frustrated.
Martiniz said his team "played with focus."
