Philadelphia Loses, 6-4, to San Francisco in 12
|
The San Francisco Giants took Juan Sebater's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Oracle Park. The final score had San Francisco getting past the Phillies, 6-4, in 12 innings. Sebater over 6 innings allowed no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. San Francisco has a record of 18-9.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 12th for San Francisco. That's when 24-year old first baseman Perri Cox hit a 2-run home run off Jon Robinson to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"I felt good up there," said Cox. "I saw the ball well."
