Royals Prevail, 3-2, Over Houston
|
Jon Correale, who is tied for 6th in the AL in quality starts with 4, had a strong outing for the Kansas City Royals against the Houston Astros at Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Humberto Aguirre closed the door for Kansas City, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The overall performance of the 2050 Astros has been rotten so far.
Andy DuPont had a big run-scoring triple for the Royals in the bottom of the first inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Foret and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 2-0.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said DuPont.
