The Las Vegas Flamingos got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremy Muhs, but the Toronto Blue Jays still won the game, 4-3. Muhs threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The Blue Jays, now 28-15, have won 4 in a row.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Eric Minich? The 23-year old center fielder Minich stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Toronto up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Minich. "And not try to do too much."
