Meggett Squelches Montreal Offense
|
Starting pitcher Jake Meggett was a major factor in the 2-0 Cincinnati Reds triumph over the Montreal Expos. Omarion Bethea closed it out for his 4th save. Cincinnati now owns a record of 66-78.
Meggett, the Cincinnati right-hander, went 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. He collected 11 strikeouts.
"Jake was filthy tonight," said Cincinnati manager Frank Deblanc.
