Everything was working for Sam Corrales at Grizzlies Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working.

In an unforgettable performance, the 24-year-old Corrales fanned 17 Hops and sparked the 5-4 Senekal Grizzlies victory over Nigel. He left Hops hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.

"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Senekal manager . "His location and command were really something."

In addition to collecting 17 strikeouts over 9 innings, Corrales allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in a superlative outing.

"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Corrales said with a smile.

To date this season, Corrales sports a 6-4 mark with a 3.83 ERA in 11 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .223 batting average and has 99 strikeouts in 82.1 innings.
