Giants Shut Out Braves, 3-0
|
The Atlanta Braves got a superb performance from pitcher Bob Green, but the San Francisco Giants still won the game, 3-0. Green threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Mike Ryder recorded the save, his 3rd. With the win over Atlanta, the Giants improved to 28-20.
San Francisco took a 3-0 lead on Kunifusa Nakasato's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Nakasato hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Atlanta pitcher Damani Dulcio visibly frustrated.
Nakasato attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
