Yankees Rally to Nose Past Boston
Boston first baseman Fred Snodgrass III had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to New York in 11 innings. Snodgrass III was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Arturo Pacheco, credited with the win in relief, is now 7-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The Yankees now have a record of 77-78.

New York got a clutch hit from Brad Peterson. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Peterson.
