The Cincinnati Reds knocked off the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-0, in National League action at Great American Ball Park. Cincinnati pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Ignacio Rubalcava had an outstanding performance. The Blue Jays, at 32-25, have lost 4 in a row.
Rubalcava ran roughshod over the Toronto lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 9. With the victory, he goes to 5-4 on the season.
"We'll enjoy this ride as long as it lasts," said Reds manager Frank Deblanc.
