Luis Rosales exploded for a barrage of base hits at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Akron second baseman had a field day in his team's 8-1 triumph over the Reading Fightin Phils, finishing 5-for-5.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Rosales must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Luis Rosales hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Rosales is swinging at a .394 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 20 games.
