Spiders Win at Chicago, 2-1
|
Camel Crush Court hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Cleveland turned a fine outing from starter Jaquan Cobbin into a victory over the Chicago White Sox at Camel Crush Court. The final score was 2-1. Cobbin picked up the win for Cleveland, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-3.
Kelyn Tishler, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2045 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Tishler contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Cleveland up, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Cleveland manager Jake Pennel.
The setback makes Chicago 72-87.
