Brewers Stumble, Lose to Cubs
|
Chicago turned a good effort from starter Chris Visser into a win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field. The Cubs won the game, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Visser, now 7-2. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. The Chicago winning streak has reached 4 games.
Luis Ochoa had a big bases-clearing double for the Cubs in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Chicago leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Sean Donohoe and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cubs ahead, 8-2.
"I like our mindset right now," said Chicago manager Zac Nicholson.
