The first-place Minnesota Twins took on the Detroit Tigers in front of a spirited crowd.

The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Target Field, taking down the Detroit Tigers, 8-2. Starting pitcher Tim Eller was a big reason why. Eller, the winner, moves to 13-3. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 5 walks.

The fans who filled the stands at Target Field to watch the American League action seemed to enjoy the game.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Eller.

The Twins improved to a lofty 66-22.
