Angulo has 3 hits to Ignite Cubs Offense
Chicago beat Colorado at Coors Field, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Ignacio Angulo. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Braedon Magennis, the winner, is now 11-6. He struck out 6 and walked 2 over 6 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Jeff Hostetter was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 5 save opportunities.

Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Rogelio Rivera to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cubs ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Angulo told the Chicago Daily News.

With the win, Chicago raised its record to 61-56.
