Ellen Hits 2 home runs in Twins Win
The Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers, 10-6, at Comerica Park. Minnesota right fielder Tony Ellen had a superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Danny Lengkeek picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Chris Henderson suffered the loss. Minnesota has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

In the top of the seventh, the Twins grabbed the lead when Ellen hit his 24th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Chris Henderson made it 7-5, Minnesota.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Ellen told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
