Tapia Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
Reno first baseman Steve Tapia had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Sacramento River Cats at Raley Field as the Aces picked up a win, 14-2.
"He was patient up there," Reno skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Tapia has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Steve Tapia hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
To date this season, Tapia is hitting .377 with 3 home runs.
