Chovan Hurls 17-0 Masterpiece
It wasn't easy but Josh Chovan made it look that way.

Chovan silenced the Corpus Christi Hooks, 17-0, in a San Antonio Missions triumph at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Chovan said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 3 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

During this season he has made no relief appearances, earning a 5-6 record with no saves. In 76 innings Chovan has struck out 56 with a 4.03 ERA.
