The Chicago Cubs extended their winning streak.

Chicago took on Oakland in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Chris Visser, in particular, was fantastic. The Chicago right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-0. Visser, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Alex Sheets locked down his 1st save.

Rogelio Rivera had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Chicago. He came through with a solo home run to put Chicago in front, 2-0.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Visser.

The win has Chicago at 6-4.
