9-2 Win Takes Brewers to 13-7
|
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds, 9-2, at American Family Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Luis Quintero, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Cincinnati falls to 5-15.
Milwaukee shortstop Josh Newsome contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a sinker to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 4-0.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Brewers manager Matt Brewers.
