5 times is the charm -- at least for Juan Romero.

The South Bend Cubs center fielder tore up the Milwaukee Milkmen to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium today. The offensive onslaught from Romero powered the Cubs to a 14-12 win.

"Romero was a tough out today," Milwaukee manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Juan Romero singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

This year Romero is batting .366 with 4 home runs and 46 RBIs.
