Ryan Jefferson was a major contributor to the 5-2 Milwaukee win over Boston. The Brewers designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milwaukee reliever Tomas Reid picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Sal Peralta was tagged with the loss. Marco Bravo earned the save for Milwaukee, his 1st of the year.
Milwaukee went up, 3-2, on Jonathan Vega's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Vega hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Sal Peralta shaking his head.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Milwaukee skipper Will Brewers.
With the win, Milwaukee lifts its record to 4-7.
