The Philadelphia Phillies powered past the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-2, at Citizens Bank Park. Omar Shaheed provided some of the pop. Nervous belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Andrew Camara, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held Milwaukee to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. Franklin Ordaz closed the game out for Philadelphia, earning his 3rd save.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Shaheed hit a solo home run off Steve Stubbs. It propelled the Phillies into the lead, 3-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Shaheed, "and today was a good one for us."
Philadelphia is now 16-12.
