Manny Elías was outstanding against St. Louis. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the AL with a 1.21 WHIP, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Guardians 6-3 win. Adrián Guzmán earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 6-1. Cleveland has won 4 consecutive games.

Elias Urioste electrified the crowd in the bottom of the ninth when he took St. Louis pitcher Juan Rodríguez deep. His 3-run home run sent the Guardians home winners.

"We got what we needed when we needed to," said Cleveland manager Steve Seelbach.
