Benjamim Delgado Notches 300th Save
Once again Benjamim Delgado took the mound for Cincinnati with the game on the line, a scenario that has played out hundreds of times for the Reds and their top reliever. And like he has several hundred times before, Delgado closed out the victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. This save, however, was a bit more special than most -- it was his 300th career save. The 34-year-old bullpen specialist shut down St. Louis on no runs and no hits, while working 1 innings in the 4-1 win at Great American Ballpark.

"Early in my career, 300 saves was the only goal I had -- if I could be around long enough to get it," Delgado said. "I thought to myself, if I could get 300, I'd feel like I'd accomplished something."

During his career, Delgado has 300 saves with a 53-84 record and a 3.55 ERA.
