Brown Delivers Walk-Off Win for Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers starter Don Ford was in fine form against the St. Louis Cardinals at Miller Park, leading his team to a win, 5-4. Milwaukee reliever Chet Manning picked up the win, raising his record to 9-3. Iván González was tagged with the loss. Their 77-81 record puts the Brewers last in the National League Central Division.

Pete Brown was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brewers left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ford told the Milwaukee Citizen.
