Minnesota beat Boston on the strength of starter Chris MacDonald's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. MacDonald got the win, improving to 3-10. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 5 innings. MacDonald allowed no runs. The third-place Twins are 48-51.
