Victory Pushes Giants Record to 29-25
|
The San Francisco Giants tallied a win at Oracle Park, throttling the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Gus Madrid was a big reason for his team's success. San Francisco raised its record to 29-25 with the win.
The Giants got a big at-bat from right fielder Tommy Krieg. For the game, Krieg went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.
In postgame comments to the San Francisco Daily News, Krieg said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
