| Aces Win to Extend Series Lead to 4-2 | The Reno Aces moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Sacramento River Cats at Greater Nevada Field by a score of 13-6. Aces shortstop Geraldo Perdomo did some major damage. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. The win gives the Aces a 4-2 advantage in the best-of-9 Round 1.
Perdomo had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third to put Reno in front, 3-2. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Reno manager Frank Thomas.
The next game is scheduled for Monday in Sacramento. Slated to start are Michel Otanez for the Reno Aces and Cam Sanders for the the Sacramento River Cats.
