Cleveland (AZL) Win to Pull Even With Chicago N (AZL)
Behind a bravura effort from starter Miguel Vinicio, the Cleveland (AZL) Guardians topped the Chicago N (AZL) Cubs by the score of 4-0 today and got their first win in the 2022 World Series. Vinicio threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball for the Guardians. The win moves Cleveland (AZL) into a 1-1 tie with Chicago N (AZL).

Cleveland (AZL) used the timely hitting of Javier Bolivar to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guardians on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Vinicio said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Saturday, September 24th , 2022.
