| San Jose Win Evens Series at 2 | The San Jose Giants topped the Lake Elsinore Storm by the score of 5-1 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Round 1 today. The largest share of the credit belongs to San Jose starter Landon Marceaux, who threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball in the win.
San Jose used the timely hitting of Daniel Cabrera to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Giants on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Cabrera.
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow in San Jose. The scheduled starters for the game are Johnny Ray for the Lake Elsinore Storm and Dan Metzdorf for the the San Jose Giants.
