| Smokies Even With Biscuits After Home Win | The Tennessee Smokies and the Montgomery Biscuits will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Smokies beat the Biscuits 6-2 at Smokies Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Tennessee third baseman Cristian Santana went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles.
Brandon Hughes helped out the Tennessee cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Hughes. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Erling Moreno for the Tennessee Smokies and Graeme Stinson for the the Montgomery Biscuits.
